  4. This release contains the MGA DOS CAD Drivers and Utilities for the
  5. MGA Millennium graphic controllers and is made of two floppies.

  19. Setup and Utilities:
  20. -------------------

  22. - Setup program v1.04
  23.   Running the SETUP program to select a monitor is highly recommended,
  24.   particularly if your monitor does not support all the resolutions that
  25.   the board supports.
  26.   Note that if you select a monitor through the Windows Monitor Program
  27.   included with PowerDesk, the selection is also valid for CAD DOS drivers,
  28.   so the DOS Setup program does not need to be used.

  30. - VBESETUP.EXE and VBETSR.COM Utilities (NEW as of v1.04)
  31.   The VBETSR.COM/VBESETUP.EXE utilities allow the VESA VBE modes supported
  32.   by our video bios to use the same video parameters as used by our drivers.
  33.   For additional information refer to the README.SET file in the SETUP
  34.   directory.

  36. - FNT8X14.COM
  37.   The 8x14 font has been removed from the video bios as of revision 838-3.
  38.   This was done, as per VESA recommendations, in order to make room for
  39.   VESA Bios features such as VBE2.0 and VBE/DDC.
  40.   Should the removal of this font cause problems with any application
  41.   you are running, it can be installed by running the FNT8X14.COM TSR
  42.   program. To do this, simply type c:\mga\setup\fnt8x14.

  45. AutoCAD Driver v1.04:
  46. --------------------

  48. - AutoCAD R13 Support
  49.   AutoCAD R13 is supported. Dynaview/3D also works with R13 with
  50.   the exception that it cannot render 3D solids.

  52. - DynaView/3D
  53.   DynaView/3D is supported on the MGA Millennium family.
  54.   Keep in mind that 3D solids in R13 are not supported by Dynaview/3D.

  56. - 3D Studio
  57.   3D Studio 3 and 4 are supported.

  59. - AutoCAD for Windows:
  60.   The AutoCAD for Windows driver is available on the PowerDesk disks. It
  61.   accelerates AutoCAD for Windows Rel 12 and 13 by directly utilizing 
  62.   the MGA hardware, and comes with a Bird's Eye / Spy Glass viewer callable
  63.   from the Autodesk DSVIEWER command.

  66. - DynaView/3D for Windows:
  67.   This application (like AutoCAD for Windows) is available on the PowerDesk
  68.   disks. It allows real-time manipulation of 3D models created under 
  69.   AutoCAD for Windows. Note that if the current windows mode,as selected via
  70.   the MGA control panel, is not a 3D mode then DynaView/3D will be limited
  71.   to wireframe.

  79.   MicroStation driver supplied supports MicroStation 5.0 only.

  88.   The driver also supports single screen (with or without swap screen), dual 
  89.   screen and Windows Connection (single or dual screen).  
  90.   Note that if you use the MicroStation Windows Connection with a dual-MGA
  91.   configuration, the Windows Connection driver MUST run on the MGA board
  92.   which has its VGA enabled.
